Island of Eternal Summer

Acrylic on Canvas, 18″x24″

$336.00 + free shipping, CONUS only

The seasons have begun to turn all around, but on the island it’s eternal summer.

That island lives somewhere in my head, but I sometimes lose my way and need to find it all over again. The trick of course, is to not focus on the seasons turning all around. The colder harsher seasons may seem real — but as long as the island exists, are they really?

Fall Reflections

Acrylic on canvas, 11″x14″ $200

I can’t help seeing lollipops when I look at this. Well, fall foliage is eye candy anyway, so I guess that makes sense. Either that, or it’s just my serious sweet tooth kicking up its heels again. (Do teeth have heels? I didn’t think so…)

Anyway, we’re expecting our first shovelable (is that a word?) snow tomorrow, so even though I’m sure it will be pretty as always, it won’t be as colorful as this. I wonder if a snow scene in this style would work? Hmmm….

Descent

Acrylic on MDF panel, 6″x6″ $96.00

Descent of what exactly, I’m not sure.

I guess this is one of those instances where abstract meets representational and logic finds somewhere else to hang out for a while.

The logic part had me hesitating to post this but the abstract part kept saying “it’s OK just go for it.” So here we are.

Sparkling River

Acrylic on MDF Panel, 6″x6″ $96.00

Just a little break from all the heavy stuff.  Sometimes you just have to sit back on the porch, put your feet up, and tuck into some apple pie as you enjoy the view.

Apple pie? Mmmmmmmm…

The Nature Of Love

Acrylic on MDF panel, 6″x6″

A little of thee in me, and a little of me in thee. And from the union, new life springs. Not necessarily a physical child, but a new dynamic, a relationship.

Oh, and this isn’t just about romantic love. Or just love between humans. This is about all forms of love across the Universe. Between thoughts and ideas, all beings, so-called inanimate things? It really depends on your understanding of reality how far you can take this.

I seem to be on a bit of a yin/yang theme lately. A couple more exploring this path coming soon.

The sides are attractively painted black and you can hang it immediately with the attached paracord.

Love Light

Acrylic on reclaimed wood, 6.5″x10.5″

I thought it looked like the flame was being fed from the fuel reservoir in the heart. It was a little harder to come up with a title for this one than most. I think it works though.

This piece of reclaimed wood shows its scars a little more than most. There are some vertical gouges in the cloud shape at the top, towards the middle. They’re hard to see on the computer image, more noticeable on the original, but still subtle.

We all carry our scars, but that doesn’t stop the love light shining from our hearts, does it? Well, ideally anyway.

By the way, the imperfections in the slab of wood don’t affect the integrity of the paint layers or the archival stability of the piece in any way. Kind of the same for us, if you know what I mean.

This artwork is available for just $136.00. The sides are attractively painted black and you can hang it immediately with the attached paracord.

The Sacred Heart Of Mother Earth

Acrylic on canvas, 11″x14″

This is my largest dot painting to date. I like how Mother’s heart is sparkling with energy and life! If you find it resonates with you more, substitute “God” for “Mother Earth.” However you say it, all that life is borne of love and sustained by love.

This artwork is available for just $200.00. The sides are attractively painted black so you can hang it immediately until you get it framed.

The One That Got Away

Acrylic on MDF panel, 6”x6”

Note: The one that got away isn’t any more beautiful than the others. No better. But its unique destiny was to get away and chart its own flight path away from the others.

A lot of dots within dots on this one. And I know it’s a little dark, but it’s meant to convey the idea of night, that when you chart your own path away from the crowd sometimes you may feel you have to do it away from the bright glare of the noonday sun. Especially applies to artists (and most of my friends!), I think!

This small artwork is available for just $96.00, ready to hang with attached paracord and sides attractively painted black. Or you can frame it if you prefer. Perfect for small or intimate spaces!

The Pink Road

Acrylic on canvas, 10″x10″

Sometimes it’s just because the colors work together. But if you have some interpretation of this painting that means something to you, I’d really be interested in hearing it!

This small artwork is available for just $160.00. The sides are painted black so you can display it right away, but I recommend framing it. Perfect for small or intimate spaces!
