Reemergence

20×16” Acrylic and acrylic markers on canvas panel

This image is inspired by memories of my years in Mexico and Honduras. It’s not meant to be an accurate representation of one of those magnificent massive Olmec heads, but more of a symbolic nod to those ancient cultures.

There’s an awful lot we have lost over the millennia, and we are the worse off for having done so. Not that everything about ancient cultures was wonderful, because it definitely was not. But as the world and our environment continues to change, I wonder if some of the old survival skills, especially as they relate to societies and not just individuals need to reemerge once again…

Exactly how to do that without the negatives that brought them down, well – that’s the trick, isn’t it?

Do you like it? If you do, imagine what fun it would be having this original artwork delivered right to your door (or whatever door you’d like it delivered to!).

If you do like this painting, please share – because it really helps!

And don’t forget:

All work is for sale, Pay What You Want. Seriously. I don’t believe that original art should be available only to those with deep pockets. Not every art lover has deep pockets. So just tell me what price works for you. (You pay the shipping, though.😊)
