Carries-Their-Prayers

Carries-Their-Prayers
25×25″ Acrylic on stretched canvas

In many Native American traditions the eagle, flying the highest, carries the peoples’ prayers to the Creator.

This was a first try at a bald eagle commission. I say first try, because the client purchased a bear portrait (Saint Grizz) and asked for a bald eagle in the same style. While I’m really happy with this one, the style really didn’t match as closely as it should have, so I painted another one. I’ll post that completed eagle next week along with the earlier bear portrait.

Visiting An Old Friend

20×16″ acrylic on canvas panel

Here we see that the bonds of love continue beyond what we think of as the physical. This kitty and its boy share a beautiful moment of reconnection.

Is it just a dream? Or could it be that the connection is real, but more easily made in the dreamtime?
